Crime and Punishment: A Journey into the Human Mind with Dostoevsky

Literature as a mirror to human morality.

I recently finished reading Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoevsky, a novel that explores the moral dilemmas of a young man who commits a murder and faces the consequences of his actions. Through this book, I reflected on good and evil, justice and guilt—topics that are still relevant today. As I read in English, I realized how translation affects the perception of the work, which helped me expand my vocabulary and understand the cultural context of Russia.

Learning English allowed me to enjoy literary works in their original language and grasp the nuances of the words. Through reading, not only do you learn the language, but you also develop critical thinking skills.

"Man has a heart and a mind, but he can choose which one to use."
